Salary Guidelines for AFT Represented Employees


Members of the bargaining unit with the ranks of Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor will be employed at salary rates no less than the minimums that apply to full-time faculty at these ranks, provided that such minimums are at or above the minimums for Lecturers.

Members of the bargaining unit who are employed as Adjunct, Lecturers, or Emeritus faculty will be appointed at a 9-month salary base rate no less than the following:

Effective Winter term 2002 5.0% salary increase $27,000
Effective September 16, 2002 5.0% salary increase $28,350

Members of the bargaining unit who are employed as Research Assistants or Research Associates will be appointed beginning Winter term 2002 for those on nine- or twelve-month appointments at salary rates no less than the following:

Research Assistant 9-Month 2001-2002 $22,041
  12-Month 2001-2002 $26,844
Research Associate 9-Month 2001-2002 $23,751
  12-Month 2001-2002 $28,920

Members of the bargaining unit who are employed as Research Assistants or Research Associates will be appointed in 2002-03 beginning July 1, 2002, for those on twelve-month appointments, or September 16, 2002, for those on nine-month appointments, at salary rates no less than the following:

Research Assistant 9-Month 2002-2003 $23,139
  12-Month 2002-2003 $28,188
Research Associate 9-Month 2002-2003 $24,939
  12-Month 2002-2003 $30,372
