Overview
Positions
in this job family provide students with specific care for
which the professionals are licensed. Incumbents in these
positions provide direct health, psychological, psychotherapeutic
and related services to individual students and groups of
students. Professionals in these positions also provide instructional
and outreach programs that support student learning and healthy
life styles.
Qualifications
Academic
degree relevant to the specific professional practices (e.g.
M.D., M.S.W., Ph.D., M.A., M.S.) and license to practice.
For all positions, prior professional experience is preferred.
For Physicians, Board certification is preferred.
Examples
of Duties Performed
- Provides
health and/or psychotherapeutic services to students.
- Triages
students needs and appropriately refers to outside care providers
- Supervises
residents and graduate student interns
- Provides
outreach programs and services
