- Emergency Management Coordinator - Public Safety Office
Portland
State University (PSU) is seeking a full-time unclassified
Emergency Management Coordinator to provide emergency management
services for a diverse campus. Services include research,
recommendations, development, implementation and maintenance
of Emergency Management concepts.
Reports
to: Director of Public Safety
There
is also a comprehensive PSU benefits package (refer to HRC
website). Employees receive reduced tuition at all seven
institutions within the Oregon University System. This benefit
can be transferred to one dependent (i.e., spouse, domestic
partner, dependent child, or domestic partner's dependent

Required
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's
degree in public/business administration, or a related
field, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience
in emergency preparedness and response or public safety
or an equivalent combination of education and experience
enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions
of the position.

Additional qualifying experience will substitute, year
for year, for the education requirement. A Master's or
Ph.D. degree will substitute for one year of the experience
requirement.

Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability
to meet the University driving standards.

Must pass a criminal history background investigation.
NOTE:
Applicant must have these minimum required qualifications

Any Additional FEMA and/or DHS courses/training.

Position
will remain open until finalists are identified. Finalist
will be required to give a 30-40 minute presentation to
community members on their proposed strategic plan for Portland
State University .
