The
Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Portland
State University seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill
a tenure track position at the level of Assistant/Associate
Professor.
Minimum
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or
a closely related field, and should have research expertise
that supports the department's growth in the area of energy
and sustainability. Specific areas of interest include but
are not limited to green buildings, energy efficiency, renewable
energy, and environmental aspects of the built environment.
Portland
State University is one of the three major state institutions
of higher education in Oregon. Portland, the major metropolitan
center of Oregon, has a diverse industrial base, with a
mix of heavy and light manufacturing, and a vibrant computer
and electronics industry. The city is also renowned as a
leader in green buildings and sustainable design practices.

are also headquartered in Portland. The Maseeh College
of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University
