ARC-002 - Assistant Professor of Architectural Tectonics - Architecture Department - Tenure Track

Portland State University offers a four-year baccalaureate degree with a major in architecture. The program is currently developing a professional Master of Architecture program. The program emphasizes cultural engagement, design + making, and visual language within the vibrant urban context of the city of Portland , Oregon . The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role in guiding the development of departmental courses and programs in tectonics.

The PSU Department of Architecture invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Architectural Tectonics with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates will be expected to hold at minimum a Master's degree in Architecture, three years in teaching, and experience in architectural practice and/or research. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated expertise and record in interdisciplinary teaching, hands-on making, and material explorations. Applicants should have recognized accomplishments in research or professional practice and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
