Classified Vacation

Employees who have completed 6 months of service may schedule the use of vacation leave with their supervisors. Requests to use five days of vacation or more should be submitted in writing 15 days before the desired starting date. For vacations of fewer than five days, a request should be made five days in advance. A supervisor may grant a vacation request on less notice.

Vacation Accrual Rates

Years of Service Accrual Rate per Month (for full time Employee)
Up to 5 years 8 hours
6 - 10 years 10 hours
11 - 15 years 12 hours
16 - 20 years 14 hours
21 years + 16 hours
Employees who work less than a full month earn vacation on a pro-rated basis.
