PSU Emeritus Benefits

Emeritus Identification Card

Present your emeritus award letter at the ID window located in Neuberger Hall and a picture I.D. card will be issued to you that indicates Emeritus status.  This card will have no expiration date; no validiation sticker is necessary.

Library Privileges

These privileges are the same as for academic personnel. Once an Emeritus faculty member activiates his/her Emeritus card (by completing forms at the library desk), the currently validated Emeritus ID card may be presented at the time of book checkout

Parking

The annual list of newly ranked Emeriti is sent to the Parking Office. An Emeritus parking permit will be issued free of charge to Emeriti upon request.

Office Space

Office space is a departmental consideration/decision, and space must come from the department's current space allocation. (New space should not be requested so that Emeriti faculty can be housed).

Access to PSU Fitness Facilities

Access to these facilities is currently available, but subject to change with reorganization. For access, Emeriti may go directly to the locker rooms (located in lower level of PSC) and present their currently validated Emeritus ID card.

Free Admission to All PSU Athletic Events

Emeriti may recieve one free ticket to any PSU athletic event by presenting their Emeritus ID card to the Athletic Department.

Information for Those Emeriti Who Wish to Attend PSU Courses

Retired employees are eligible for staff fee privileges.  Complete the Staff Fee Privilege Form and turn it in to Human Resources (USB302) two weeks before the first day of class.  This privilege is not transferable.
